Fedpoffa Resumption: SUG President Reveals Some Secrets

The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, has announced Resumption date for the second semester of the 2019/2020 academic session which was abruptly stopped by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Students Union Government President of the school, Comrade Abiola Azeez Adigun confirmed to 4newsnaija.blogspot.com on Tuesday that the school will resume on Monday, October 12, 2020 noting that new academic calendar have subsequently been released.

Comrade Adigun however stressed the resumption was not business as usual as some precautions have been slated to avoid the spread of the coronavirus among Students.

He said, Face mask, hand washing and physical distancing are the lead guidelines that all fedpoffites must be ready to obey in and outside the campus while other measures are also important.

In a an earlier release by the SUG Public Relations Officer Comrade Isiaq Adesoji, he noted that safety is the priority of the students Union Government as the school resumes.

"This is to inform you that the long awaited date for the resumption have been released by the school management today during the academic board meeting.

"Hence, it has been stamped that the  Polytechnic will resume for academics activities on 12th of October 2020 for the beginning of second semester academic session.

"During the meeting, with regards to the covid19 regulations and to achieve social distancing , the lectures day for each levels are scheduled as below :

"Graduating students HND2, ND2ft, ND2 pt. Lecture days

Tuesday

Thursday

Saturday

Fresh students Lecture days

ND1 PT, ND1 Ft, HND1

"On the final note, the Students' Union Government beseech all students to make themselves ready for resumption and always be in custodian of the necessary material to avoid the spread of COVID-19 on and off campus....

The price of bread nearly doubled in Zimbabwe on Tuesday, another burden for citizens already struggling with a weakening currency and rising prices for basic goods. The Students representative council and the judiciary arm of the Students Union Government, Federal Polytechnic Offa have decided to strike the sledge hammer of the Union on a senator alleged of defiance to the constituted authority of the SUG. Sequel to the tradition of students with unqualified O'level losing their admission, The students union government has agitated that they should be given other departments they qualify for instead of sending them home.
