Governor, state of osun Mr gboyega oyetola has ordered the immediate reopening of the Owode Ede market closed yesterday as a result of alleged breech of environmental sanitation law.
Governor oyetola through the supervisor, ministry of home affairs, Dr obawale Adebisi gave the directives sequel to a plea by stakeholders of owode Ede led by the Olu of Owode Ede Oba Nurein Azeez.
Speaking at the meeting, Governor Oyetola emphasized that The state is conscious of the environmental hazard of indiscriminate dumping of refuse and will not tolerate any insurbodination in that regard.
Songs of joy however filled the wave of Owode Ede immediately the acting general manager of the osun waste and management agency (owma) Mr Festus Ogunbanwo opened the market for full commercial activities.

Comrade Mukaila Usman thanked governor Oyetola for his magnanimity by reopening the market.
Comrade Usman said The closure of Owode Ede market was inline with the state government's effort to prevent outbreak of diseases assuring maximum cooperation for government programs and policies.
The Iyaloja and Babaloja of Edeland chief Memunat Ajagbe and Ismaila Olaiya
led the team of jubilant at the market chanting song of praise on governor oyetola.
