The president, National Association of Environmental Studies Students Naes Federal Polytechnic Offa, comrade Adeboye Adewale (P.A) has wished Students of his faculty greater achievements in the New year, 2020 ahead.

Comrade PA in a release obtained by 4newsnaija.blogspot.com correspondent, Jamiu Omoniyi felicitated with the students and lecturers of the faculty of Environmental Studies expecially, the Christian faithfuls.

"As we are responsible to every Students, I will commemorate with all Christians on the occasion of Christmas 2019 and wish everyone a successful New year ahead.

It is not enough to celebrate New year but to struggle for new level and new accomplishment", the president Said.

He however charge them to be moderate in their activities while the Yuletide last.

National outcry as cost of Bread doubles in Zimbabwe

The price of bread nearly doubled in Zimbabwe on Tuesday, another burden for citizens already struggling with a weakening currency and rising prices for basic goods. Bread now costs 3.50 RTGS dollars a loaf, up from 1.80 on Monday, according to prices displayed by most shops visited by Reuters in the capital, Harare. “Bread has now become a luxury. How many people can afford it at this rate?” said Sarah Chisvo, a mother of three who was picking up groceries in a supermarket in central Harare. “The government needs to do something before this gets out of hand.” Zimbabwe ditched its own currency for the U.S. dollar and other currencies in 2009, after hyperinflation reached 500 billion percent the previous year. In February, faced with acute shortages of U.S. dollars, Zimbabwe introduced a new currency, called the Real Time Gross Settlement dollar. The Students representative council and the judiciary arm of the Students Union Government, Federal Polytechnic Offa have decided to strike the sledge hammer of the Union on a senator alleged of defiance to the constituted authority of the SUG. Sequel to the tradition of students with unqualified O'level losing their admission, The students union government has agitated that they should be given other departments they qualify for instead of sending them home.
