FG Commissions 2km Road in Offa poly Says it's an investment in education



The Federal government of Nigeria in its bid to upgrade the standard of Nigeria Education has commissioned a 2.23 kilometers internal access road in the federal Polytechnic Offa and handed it over to the school management for use.

The Minister for works and housing, Mr Babatunde fashola represented by the Kwara state Federal controller of works and housing, Engr. Atitebi Wasiu commissioned the rehabilitated road Today, Thursday, March 12, 2020.


The Minister in his speech noted that 43 internal roads were constructed by the Federal government out of which 18 have been commissioned and handed over for use.

Fashola expressed that the gesture is part of president Muhammadu Buhari investment in education because quality Education is dependent on quality infrastructure.

In his address, The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Offa, Dr lateef Olatunji Commended the president Muhammadu Buhari for enhancing the performance of the Tertiary education Trust Fund, Tetfund.

While he Commended the minister of works for his brilliant performance in public infrastructural development across the country appealed to the FG to consider other internal roads on the campus for rehabilitation.

The Sug President, comrade Abiola Azeez showered encomium on President Muhammadu Buhari and Babatunde Fashola for prioritizing the Welfarism of Nigerian Students.

He thereafter urged them not to spare any efforts at upgrading the education system of the country to an enviable height.

The official drive was done on the road by the minister, The Rector Among other dignitaries at the occasion.
