Updated: Osun Reacts After Oyetola Shut Jumat And Churches

The state government of osun has announced indefinite ban on convergence of people at mosque for jumat service and church service, vigil and crusade including any Public gathering that will have fifty or more people in attendance.

The order still Continues to maintain its stand as jumat mosque still remain shut today, March, 27th 2020.

While some mosques visited by 4newsnaija.blogspot.com such as Oshogbo Central Mosque and Ansaru-Deen were totally compliant with the directives.

Meanwhile a jumat mosque opposite, DSS office, along Gbongon-Ibadan Expressway defied the order and held Jumat service.

However, divergent reactions from people of the state also trailed the decision.

Arrays of people who spoke with osbc in osogbo Appreciated governor gboyega oyetola for banning Public gathering including jumat and church service in a bid to prevent the pandemic virus while some claimed that it was not the next necessary step.

In her reaction, a trader Mrs Ramata Atanda Said the decision is unavoidably necessary as human life is Paramount and must be protected at all cost.

Same was the reaction of pastor David ayodeji  and Alhaji Abubakar Akewusola who further advised the state to also provide isolation centers and as well leverage on his precautionary awareness for the masses.

However some respondent opined that the situation has not called for such drastic measures which is affecting the spiritual institutions.

They noted that the mosque and church have ought not to be closed while club house, market place, parks among other are still widely opened.
