Fedpoffa Welcome Back Party In Style, See What Next


It was a loud ovation as the students of Federal Polytechnic Offa troop out massively to enjoy themselves at the welcome back party organized by the SUG executives.

The party which was titled parte after parte was declared open by the SUG president, comrade Abiola Azeez (Adigun) after delivering his stewardship address in less than one month in office.

The party justified its name as the students enjoyed themselves to the fullest as evident in enthusiasm exhibited by the Students.

The no dulling crew made a land mark in entertainment as a lot of artist, comedians and dancers were showcased.

The SUG social director, Comrade Timothy Anuoluwapo (Apostle) and his assistant Comrade Tofunmi Adelowo (Topman) noted that the fullypackaged program was part of their promises during their electoral campaigns.

A lot of competition featured while the social director awarded present to the winners.

Comrade Apostle assured that more interesting events are still coming up as promised by the SIWES innovator, comrade Adigun and his crew.

He appeal to students to watch out and remain law abiding in a bid to sustain peaceful atmosphere which will enable party after party.

National outcry as cost of Bread doubles in Zimbabwe

The price of bread nearly doubled in Zimbabwe on Tuesday, another burden for citizens already struggling with a weakening currency and rising prices for basic goods. Bread now costs 3.50 RTGS dollars a loaf, up from 1.80 on Monday, according to prices displayed by most shops visited by Reuters in the capital, Harare. “Bread has now become a luxury. How many people can afford it at this rate?” said Sarah Chisvo, a mother of three who was picking up groceries in a supermarket in central Harare. “The government needs to do something before this gets out of hand.” Zimbabwe ditched its own currency for the U.S. dollar and other currencies in 2009, after hyperinflation reached 500 billion percent the previous year. In February, faced with acute shortages of U.S. dollars, Zimbabwe introduced a new currency, called the Real Time Gross Settlement dollar. SUG Senate, Judiciary Set To Sanction The Deputy Senate President For Indiscipline

The Students representative council and the judiciary arm of the Students Union Government, Federal Polytechnic Offa have decided to strike the sledge hammer of the Union on a senator alleged of defiance to the constituted authority of the SUG. The Senate president of the house, comrade Okesanmi Taiwo (Tee-Bancing) and the chief justice, Comrade (Adegold) gave this conclusion while addressing 4newsnaija.blogspot.com in a joint press briefing before the Senate seating today. Sequel to the tradition of students with unqualified O'level losing their admission, The students union government has agitated that they should be given other departments they qualify for instead of sending them home. Considering all the money the concerned Students have spent, the SUG president Comrade Abiola Azeez (Adigun) has noted that all part time Students who may have chosen some departments but found unqualified during screening in their departments will now be opportuned to have another department of corresponding qualifications.
