SUG Senate, Judiciary Set To Sanction The Deputy Senate President For Indiscipline


The Students representative council and the judiciary arm of the Students Union Government, Federal Polytechnic Offa have decided to strike the sledge hammer of the Union on a senator alleged of defiance to the constituted authority of the SUG.

The Senate president of the house, comrade Okesanmi Taiwo (Tee-Bancing) and the chief justice, Comrade (Adegold) gave this conclusion while addressing 4newsnaija.blogspot.com in a joint press briefing before the Senate seating today.

The president of the Senate assured that the alleged member will be dealt with according to the provisions of the SUG Senate Constitution.

According to Comrade Teebancing, "Information reached us that a Senate member, Opeyemi Adekunle (World Best) representing SLT Students constituency on 18th, December, 2019, molested The Students Union Government President, Comrade Abiola Azeez Adigun to the point of attempting to beat him.

"So, who ever tries something bad will face the bad side of the Constitution.

"We have not decided the type of sanction he will be given but he's facing impeachment, suspension other forms of legislative sanction".

In her statement, the CJ, comrade Agboladoyin Simbiat (Adegold), noted that the Judiciary Arm is set to implement the decision of the Senate upon provision of evidences which will prove their claim beyond reasonable doubt.

As the CJ, I will give the final say on the issue as far as the judiciary is convinced and justified on the allegations leveled against the senator.

However, the outcome of the meeting has not been communicated to us as at the time of filling this report.
