Stop Collecting Money For Signature, SUG Warns LIS Dept


The Students Union Government, Federal Polytechnic Offa has sounded notes of warning to the Library and information science department on an allegation that it is collecting money before new students are screened.

The SUG president comrade Abiola Azeez Adigun while speaking noted that the Union was displeased with the information and will not tolerate any form of extortion on the Students.

Comrade Adigun who spoke with 4newsnaija.blogspot.com through the PRO Comrade Isiaq Adesoji emphasized that decisive actions will be taking upon resumption if the alleged extortion persists.

Adigun stressed that, "It is illegal for any registration Officer to collect money from Students for screening or registration and any R.O found wanting will be Tackled by the Students Union Government.

"We hereby urge all students not to pay such unwarranted charges and report subsequent cases to the union.

"We also called on management, Asup, Ssanip and other Unions on campus to assist SUG in sanitizimg Fedpoffa from any illegal act that may smear its integrity."
